Holy Ground

For years I believed to make a man content, my duty was to give myself to him. When I didn’t, I would hear things like, “but, I thought you said you loved me” or “you must be sleeping with someone else”. This ain’t nothing, but games… and I am not a toy!

I think men relate many things in life to a game whether it be a video game or a sport. Men just like to play, and if they can play you, they will! Allow me to encourage you.

I was reading Matthew 1:18-25 and although I had recently completed a study on this particular chapter, I prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to see these verses with new eyes.

In the reading, Mary tells Joseph she is pregnant. The irony is that Mary and Joseph just recently got married and have yet to have sexual relations. Instead of embarrassing Mary or walking away from her and their marriage, he puts away to keep people out of their business and he seeks the Lord for an answer.

The best part is knowing that Joseph is a man of God. I’m sure if he was not a man of God, things would have went a bit differently here ?. The angel of the Lord visits Joseph in a dream and shares with him that his wife, who just recently told him she was pregnant is pregnant by the Holy Spirit. The angel provides further instructions for Joseph to follow and Joseph remains obedient.

Did anyone notice that Joesph and Mary never had sexual relations while she was pregnant with Jesus?? Tell me this isn’t wild! OK, Rachiel Renea make your point! Gladly!

You are pregnant with a purpose. A mission. The Holy Spirit is preparing you to birth a destiny. Now, I’m not talking physically (maybe) I mean spiritually! The Lord has created you for a divine moment in time and He needs your undivided attention so that you can birth this plan.

Your focus cannot be pleasing or entertaining a man. Your focus has to be God. Once you appropriately align yourself with His will, then the fast you move toward your destiny and hopefully the future “one”. Psalm 34:7 says that when we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts.

You’re carrying purpose inside of you. A man should not be tampering on this holy ground. Allow the Lord to prepare and groom His purpose that He has placed inside of you. Consider yourself as untouchable while the Lord does this great work on the inside of you for all to soon see!

Make a list, check it twice!

How many times have you made a list of the qualities, characteristics or must haves for your future mate? If you’re like me, you’ve been doing this since grade school. I often would dream of this strong, handsome man sweeping me off my feet and whispering sweet nothings. You know, like they do in fairy tales ?! Unfortunately, that is not our reality ?.

As I’ve grown old, I realize that we spend so much time looking at the attributes and qualities of others, but how much focus do we put on ourselves. Today’s blog is not about creating yet another list of qualities you seek in your future mate, but instead, think about the characteristics you demonstrate that make you fit to be called, “wife”.

  1. Make a list of the “wife-like” qualities you possess
  2. Make a list of at least 10 things you know about yourself

Let’s see if you can actually do it! We will discuss your results later. ?

Getting Him to Notice You

I pray you’re encouraged by the blogs you read. My goal is to provide you the tools you need to position yourself to receive the man that God has designed just for you! The journey will be challenging and there may be times where you decide, “I can’t take it anymore!”

Either way, I will be here when you’re ready to return. Being single and feeling lonely feels like the worst at times! I know, because I’ve been there. I’ll give you tactics to eliminate distractions and focus on Christ so that you can move closer to your destiny and receive ALL that God has designed, just for you! You are a woman of fire! You are worthy of all that the Lord has coming to you!
